U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Chris Hill has reportedly warned North Korea: "We are not going to live with a nuclear North Korea, we are not going to accept it." He has also reportedly told North Korea that "it can have a future or it can have these weapons. It cannot have both."
Am I the only one who thinks that this sounds exceedingly ominous and wonders why the media isn't devoting most of its attention to this instead of to Mark Foley?

Since countermag was banned from here, no one comes around anymore. Sad really.
What's "sad" about putting a stop to Countermag's nonsense here?
I'm sure countermag was more than one person. Some of the insights provided were very poignant, along with the nonsense.
As a matter of fact, it's lonely here without countermag.
Shirley, I'm sure you realize that if someone wants to post something worthwhile rather than nonsense, he or she can find a way to do it.
Yes, but some of the constructive criticisms directed towards you, which by the way I found very profound, you dismissed out of hand. There have been times in my life when I had to look at strong reactions I've had towards things people have said concerning me and ask myself; why the overreactive defense?
Shirley, I think you're a little confused. When I accepted comments from Counter Mag, I certainly accepted criticism, often acknowledged that it was worthwhile, and responded to it accordingly. But when the nonsense from that source became excessive, I stoppped accepting any comments from that source. Again, substantive comments, even of a critical nature, can still find expression here. But Counter Mag cannot.
"Again, substantive comments, even of a critical nature, can still find expression here. But Counter Mag cannot."
So then you discriminate against all countermags for the actions of a few? I've seen this before where people of a cetain persuasion were lumped together as a group and streotyped with the same broad brush.
Is anyone coming in under countermag banned even if they express the most profound truth imaginable just because you may not grasp it at the time?
There was a time when you based an entire post on something one countermag said.
Sometimes truth takes awhile to sink in.
Shirley--
All posts from Counter Mag are banned, no matter how good they are. As I said before and will say again for the last time, if someone wants to post something worthwhile here, he or she can find another, easy way to do it. But no one posting as Counter Mag will be able do it. And why would anyone who has something worthwhile to say want to use a Blogger ID that has been exploited for the kinds of abusive postings the Counter Mag ID has been anyway?
